Perhaps they have some senior shelf stacker who sits on a chair as books are passed before his eyes, rather like the Summer Exhibition Hanging Committee. 'That's literature...so is that. That's not...' etc. Next time I'm in Sainsburys I'll see if I can find the Non Literature Books section.
