REVIEW: ‘Death by Hollywood’ by Steven Bochco

As far as I know, this is the first novel by Bochco, creator of Hill Street Blues, LA Law and NYPD Blue, but I’ll certainly be hoping for more; a well-paced thriller set in Tinseltown, it rings as true as you’d expect, and the plot’s sufficiently twisty to keep you guessing. And for those of us who look for such things, there’s a section which appears to be a thinly-veiled version of events surrounding David Caruso’s departure from NYPD Blue, adding to the feeling that Bochco’s writing from experience.
